A personal sustainability blog that used a fresh, humorous voice to make climate topics feel more approachable.
Context
Galaekian Green Life began as a personal space to write about sustainability—both because I enjoy writing and because the climate crisis is a subject I care about.
The challenge
Climate communication can easily become overwhelming. I wanted to make useful ideas feel accessible without minimising the subject, using a fresh voice and a little humour to reduce some of that anxiety.
My contribution
I defined the tone, created the WordPress site and social profiles, wrote the copy and selected the imagery. The original plan was to publish weekly and adapt the content for different social channels.
What I learned
Running a useful editorial project alone takes more time than enthusiasm can cover. The website became the strongest part of the project, while Instagram and TikTok were updated less regularly. It taught me to plan a sustainable content rhythm as carefully as the content itself.
